Presentation on safe schools<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We chose December 7th to participate in COP25 Madrid. The previous day, almost half a million people demonstrated and urged our politicians to take decisions and implement measures to tackle climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/iesalhama.educacion.navarra.es\/web1\/erasmus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/12\/clim2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1326\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iesalhama.educacion.navarra.es\/web1\/erasmus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/12\/clim2.jpg 640w, https:\/\/iesalhama.educacion.navarra.es\/web1\/erasmus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/12\/clim2-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the morning, 1,500 people cycled 20 km, crisscrossing the city and blocking the traffic, pedestrians included,  wherever we passed. The police did their best to have us all as a big group of cyclists, and not three or four smaller groups if we had stopped for traffic lights. It was a weird experience to jump red traffic lights with the help of stressed-out police officers trying to manage the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"667\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/iesalhama.educacion.navarra.es\/web1\/erasmus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/12\/clim7.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1328\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iesalhama.educacion.navarra.es\/web1\/erasmus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/12\/clim7.jpg 667w, https:\/\/iesalhama.educacion.navarra.es\/web1\/erasmus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/12\/clim7-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the afternoon we chose conferences and venues: on one hand, Cristina stayed in Complutense University, where the Social Climate events took place. She explained \u00abCycling Without Age\u00bb in Spain and in Corella for 80 enthusiastic cyclists and general public. On the other hand, To\u00f1o went to IFEMA, where all politicians have their own conference, and attended a presentation and debate on safer and more human schools, especially if we don&#8217;t drive our children there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"370\" height=\"523\" src=\"https:\/\/iesalhama.educacion.navarra.es\/web1\/erasmus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/12\/clim8.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1329\" srcset=\"https:\/\/iesalhama.educacion.navarra.es\/web1\/erasmus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/12\/clim8.jpeg 370w, https:\/\/iesalhama.educacion.navarra.es\/web1\/erasmus\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/12\/clim8-212x300.jpeg 212w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 370px) 100vw, 370px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The hectic day finished with To\u00f1o arriving in the university just in time to see the last minute of \u00abCon las canas al viento\u00bb (the right to wind in the hair), a film about a nursing home in Copenhagen moving a group of elders on trishaws to Norway for a 5-day trip with Ole Kassow leading the way.
