Last Friday, 22th November, Alhama High School organized a 4.6-km run against gender-based violence. Nine Erasmus volunteers pitched in and were in some points of the route to guide the enthusiastic participants. The whole school ran to raise awareness about the importance to tackle gender violence. It’s time to level things up, we’re all equal and everyone in Alhama high school knows it and run or walked for it.
The weather was cold and windy, but the first raindrops before the storm came just when the last participants reached the finish line. It was just a test for every student to feel first-hand that, despite the difficulties, trying hard is paramount and that we are better when we struggle together. Our run was a little gesture that can make a big difference.
