I am the lady, above mentioned by Alejandra Gutiérrez, responsable for the Citizens’ Garden. First of all I want to start explaining how this project became a «Green» reality 12 years ago.
Since I was a child, like everybody else in Corella, I often went to «la Estanca» for a walk. To get to this amazing place we had to pass next to the most awful place in town: dry, dirty, littered… full of trash. I always blame people for dirting it or not cleaning it. Passing this place made me deeply angry.

Suddenly an idea came to me. Somebody should do something to better this place. What if I started myself?
This idea put me in a good mood. I started clearing it out just 2 hours every day. Passers-by thought I was crazy, others that I was almost a homeless searching into trush. Some of them usually talked to me in a not very nice way but I didn’t answer back. I had taken my decision and nobody was going to change my mind.
This is the beginning of the history. I will tell you more about it in the coming days. To be continued…
