Last Friday, February 12th, we gathered in the evening in the PE Department with two objectives: to interview Ole Kassow (Alejandra and Doa were the wannabe journalists) and to devise a presentation about the SDGs, the Sustainable Development Goals.

The SDGs, also known as the Global Goals, were born at the United Nations General Assembly in 2015, effectively building upon and replacing the anti-poverty Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The objective of these 17 goals was to produce a set of interconnecting universal goals which would enable the world to tackle the most pressing environmental, political and economic challenges currently faced, and to do so by the year 2030.

Six Erasmus students have become SDGs Ambassadors: Aitana, Rocío, Elaine, Hamza, Erika and Eneko. Once they finish the presentation and the second term exams, they’ll explain the SDGs in the tutorial lessons.
