On the last day before Christmas, December 22, Inés and Manel Belahrizi confirmed that their family moved to Tudela shortly and that they wouldn’t study in our school from January 2021 on.
These were very bad news because these two sisters have played a key role in our Erasmus: Inés was extraordinarily commited since the very beginning in September 2018 and became the student with the most points; Manel joined us right when this school year started and she began studying 1st ESO.
These two sisters have participated in so many activities (excursions, interviews, workshops) and have helped so many times with watering, planting, rubbish collecting… that we would need three pages to name them all. Just to be aware of the sisters’ contribution to our project, they had got (combined) 110 points. Usually, one hour of work equals one point.
This interview was one of the highlights of our project. Paul Carcavilla, journalist and radio anchor, was impressed with the girls’ resourcefulness, spontaneity and freshness.
Manel, Layla, and Michelle helped during nine long days to plant and water the trees in el Villar, cover with soil the ditches, set up the watering system… Besides, they made the statistics and presented the tree inventory several times in the town hall and our school. Their contribution to this important part of the project has been paramount.
Thanks a million, Belahrizi sisters. We’ll miss you a loooooooooot!!!
