Last 23th November, our second race against gender violence took place in Corella. It was an event organized by the Ies Alhama High School and it was very challenging.
To start, there was an atmosphere of nerves and excitement. Before running, everyone was warming-up to avoid getting injured. In addition, there was motivating background music. We had to do our best because our P.E. teacher was going to evaluate the results. Moreover, the path was 3,8 Km long and it was in bad conditions because it had rained a lot the day before. Because of that, you had to be alert not to fall down.
In my case, while I was running, I heard a noise of someone shouting. Due to, I went immediately and saw a girl laying down on the floor. She had twisted her ankle. First, I helped her and then I finished the race very exhausted! Once, when everyone had finished, we all clapped and promised to continue fighting against gender violence.
All in all, it was a great experience and I was very proud of myself because I don’t like much running. I hope that our high school will continue celebrating this event.
